Thanksgiving Special - Holiday Mini-Sessions!

Hi folks! I'm going to try something and see what kind of a response I get.

I've decided to offer Holiday Mini-Sessions for one day only on Saturday, November 21st.

$50 (cash only)
20-minute session
5 digital photos fully edited and emailed to you, large enough to print up to 5x7
You will (knock on wood) receive your emailed images by December 1st

I have not yet decided on a location, but if I can get an idea of who might be interested in this offer, I will come up with one.

Here are some things that I ask:

- That everyone come ON TIME because I will literally be scheduling these back-to-back.
- Please come ready to go. If you have to primp once you arrive, then that may cut into your session time and then that will cut down on how many lovely photos I have to choose from when it comes time to edit them!
- Please also keep in mind your children's snack/naptimes because there won't be any time to stop for snacks for little ones (like I normally would absolutely do).

OK, let me know if you're interested (ylkhsk@ymail.com) and if the response is good, we'll get this thing organized and scheduled! Thanks!

YLK photography is offering these adorable, framed $50 gift cards for the holidays! They are good for use toward a full photographic session with me throughout 2010. Great for families, expecting families, seniors, newly engaged couples, anniversaries, etc.!! They measure approximately 2.5" x 3.5" and would make a great gift for anyone you know who is already interested in YLK photography.

If you are interested, please email me at ylkhsk@ymail.com. Thanks!

Robbie + Francesca = | Dallas Children's Photographer

Several weeks ago, I had the opportunity to photograph this gorgeous family in the comfort of their home. They are the four awesome children of some friends of ours and it was so much fun to just get to hang out with them. I loved especially how the girls vamped it up for me, they were so excited about their "photo shoot." Just adorable. And such cool kids. Cool kids come from cool parents!

In 1st Place... | Dallas Family Photographer

My gosh, scheduling a shoot with this handsome family proved to be such a difficult task, especially as Mother Nature seemed to be against us at each and every turn! Our first session was cut short by a storm and then we must have had three or four rescheduled shoots that had to be rescheduled over and over due to rain! Well, I am overjoyed to say that we finally accomplished a full session together even if the skies were overcast on that day, too. This is the family of my son's first grade teacher last year. She's so awesome and I was so happy to capture this time in her two gorgeous boys' lives.

Note: These photos were taken at Nash Farm in Grapevine, TX and at McPherson Park & Fire Station 3 in Colleyville, TX.

Aldo's Girl | Dallas Bridal Portrait Photographer

A few weeks ago, I met with this beautiful bride-to-be at the Garden Cafe in Dallas. She had had an ordeal trying to get there due to car trouble, so I had been worried that she would arrive with her eyes puffy from crying and fretting over the start to our morning. Not the case. She looked amazing! After a few early morning shots in the garden of the Garden Cafe, we drove over to the Dallas Arboretum and finished up there. It was hot and she'd had a rough start to the day, but I'm very happy to say that you would never know it from her gorgeous bridal portraits! Here are a few of my favorites.

A Lovely Morning | Dallas Children's Photographer

A few weeks ago, I spent the morning with this 1-year old beauty and her equally gorgeous mommy. Her mother had contacted me with a couple of very specific requests for her fourth daughter's portraits: one photo of her standing on this particular bridge and one photo of the two of them on the same bridge. Her sisters had all done the same for their 1-year portraits. How fun is that? Such a lovely idea. Anyway, I am posting some of my favorites from this session and hope that her family will love them as much as I do!

(Note: These photos were taken on the jogging trail of Bear Creek Park in Keller, TX.)

Holiday Card Time

I was just looking at my calendar and realized that it really and truly is now October. October, people! I can't believe how quickly 2009 has gone by. And in case you're wondering why I'm talking like it's already over, it's because for all intents and purposes, it is. Once October rolls around, the year is kaput. Am I right? So anyway, this is just a little reminder to get your session scheduled with me if you want your photos in time for holiday card printing! I know that some people like to get theirs out by the end of November, so you know what that means. Contact: ylkhsk@ymail.com or 682.503.6268 to book your 2009 fall/holiday session with me!
